She & Him
w/ Jordana
September 29th, 2026
Moore Theater, Seattle, WA
The first surprise of She & Him’s Seattle show came before their own set had even started!
On the second song of Jordana’s opening set, Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward walked onstage to join her, catching most of the room completely off guard. Zooey and Jordana were even wearing matching cardigans, which made the moment feel playful rather than like a formal guest appearance. Jordana moved between vocals, violin and guitar throughout her set and ended up being much more connected to the rest of the night than a typical opener.
She & Him’s own set changed shape several times. It started with the full band before stripping all the way back for a run of four or five acoustic songs with just Deschanel and Ward. That middle section felt especially at home in The Moore, with very little getting in the way of the two of them and the songs.
The band eventually returned, and Deschanel kept moving between instruments as the night went on, switching from tambourine to piano before picking up bass for the final song. Ward mostly stayed anchored on guitar, giving the set a steady center while the arrangements shifted around him.
Jordana kept finding her way back onto the stage too, sometimes just to hype up the crowd, before joining the final three songs on violin and vocals.
There wasn’t a huge production or elaborate visual concept behind the show. Most of the appeal came from how relaxed and collaborative it felt. Musicians kept stepping in and out, instruments changed hands, and the line between opener and headliner became increasingly blurry by the end of the night.
