Chance the Rapper

w/ La Reezy

September 26th, 2026
Paramount Theatre, Seattle, WA

Chance the Rapper returned to Seattle with a sold-out Paramount Theatre show built around the 10th anniversary of Coloring Book.

La Reezy opened the night and honestly felt like the perfect lead-in. The 22 year old rapper from New Orleans was energetic and loose onstage, and got the room moving without trying to outsize the headliner. By the time Chance came on, the crowd was already fully switched on.

Chance’s own setup was surprisingly stripped back. He was flanked by a DJ and drummer, but the production around them was much bigger, with a huge screen shifting through graphics, lyrics and color-heavy visuals throughout the set. Smoke cannons went off repeatedly during the opening stretch and returned at different points later in the night. Jamila Woods also joined him for two songs, one of the night's nicest surprises and a change of pace from the core three-person setup.

The crowd brought plenty of energy too. There were long stretches where the room sang back nearly every word, and Chance seemed very aware of his history with Seattle. At one point he talked about how he used to play here more often and mentioned playing with Macklemore in the past.

The anniversary angle was obviously there, but the show never felt like a straight nostalgia exercise. The older songs landed hard, while the staging and production kept the night feeling current.
